asmarp - what would this be?

For today’s short meditative absorption regrading photographies, thought I would like to follow up on the last few ideas of ‘Ordingraphy” with this one focusing in particular on the mindset/planning needing to be carried out before the creation of imagery, what in particular happens when you set out to make an ordinary image?

I have been making various inroads into this technique in recent months, with varying degrees of success. Applying the definition supplied of Ordinary. Adjective 1. With no special or distinctive features; normal.

The skills involved within this are just as measured and complex as trying to create the opposite of, which I suppose you could call extra-ordinary. I am starting to question if the creation of ordinary is even possible? Does this pursuit go against another of the fundamental pillars of the photographic?

I may need to step back here to thoughts on creating. How does one go about creating? For each individual and for each creative there are different processes, as many as there are seconds in a year one would suggest.

I do this, you do this.

Let me try and break the process of creating a still photographic image into 3 precise elements of images making. Here are some options in sequences:

thought              /           action               \        selection.

act                       \           subject             /        exhibition.

vision                  /           technique        \        position

idea                     \           rank                  /        support

image                 /           apparatus        \        program.

opportunity        \           adaptation       /        chance

appetite              /           affect                \        passion

presence            \           absence           /        existence

practice              /           theory              \        application

subject               \           object               /        reaction

Not sure how many of those work, can it be put simply as:

See / make / show.

To expand on that results in conclusion:

The thought of creating an ordinary action for further selection.

The act of viewing subject leads to an exhibition.

My vision applied with a technique results in an image position.

An idea through my rank leads to support from others.

Making an image through apparatus shown via program.

Taking an opportunity through adaptation leads to a chance.

Having an image appetite will affect the passion.

Occupying a presence. Observing an absence. Leads to an existence.

Continue practicing with theory and application.

Observe subject. Take an object. Wait for reaction.

I see a picture.

I make a picture.

I show a picture.
