Brief Intro

First of all, apologies for the large gap in the writing. This has been in part due to personal circumstances and the state of the world, the genocide, the earth burning and the rise of fascism across the world. All of which combined to make me question the role of this practice, these writings and of UT’s (my) place in the world. It hasn’t been a great time, but I do realise that I have to return to this practice and write and create.

The journey to this point has been partly a discovery of what academia was actually like, plus my skill set falling out of fashion and the realisation of the actuality of what I could offer. It has been quite a painful journey but I’ve built on that pain. I’m starting to re-establish what UT is and what it will be.

This space was where I intended my academic writing to live. I had aspirations of writing weekly/monthly academic pieces that would follow guidelines and help contribute to the academic profile. Now either this was a prime example of my naivety or my inspired exuberance, whichever one will do for you.

While I do not have all the answers yet of what UT will be, it may yet descend back into academic study. I think it needs to re-establish itself as a research practice making work, writing and continually looking for the gaps, to stand on shoulders as well as exploring further reaches of my ideas.
