Notions of Care.

I’m not afraid to admit that research has been a little slow this week, but I did happen on some alternate readings that may possibly incorporate into the

‘Conceptions of photographies/Banal/Cant Nice’

research framework, these words belong to an established reading of mine by Robert M Pirsig.

“A person who sees quality feels it as he works is a person who cares. A person who cares about what he sees and does is a person who's bound to have some characteristics of quality”

On Quality. Robert M Pirsig. Edited by Wendy K. Pirsig. P123

Can you see care in an image? I’m not talking about the souper HDR effects or the Ansel Adams’s faffing but possibly see something of someone who cares about the medium?

Thinking of applying these ideas of care as a whole notion of a frame of mind. Would you be able to see it in an image? What about an image that is purposely crafted to look like there is no care? What would that look like? How would that be received? Would subject matter play for or against?

Can you tell, which is with care, and which is without, in these images?
