FWoB - Ethics

With current news surrounding the value of courses, this being identified through earnings of students after 5 years and photographies placement in that chart,

I have changed a previous research question of:

‘What should we teach?’

This has now turned in on, and around itself, arriving at the very core of the matter which is with the idea of ethics:

‘Why should we teach photography’?

Personally, speaking this is a difficult area to address, my current teaching regime is on an enforced sabbatical, so I stand outside and watch the amalgamation of some courses into an arts and… guise as well the full closure of singular photography courses may symbolise a future direction for education, which may or may not be taken up by other institutions, only time will tell.

I leave with a further question:

With photographies ubiquity in modern societies then what is the point of teaching photography?
