Image. Discuss
The aim of this week’s words is to talk further about an image that may, or may not, form part of future directions. This image has been in my minds eye for a while, photographing reflections is a first building block of photography, especially in the urban environment where capitalism, light and window space combine to sell goods.
This is slightly different to that though, one I’ve been wanting to get for a while, it’s a round puddle with a reflection of sky/clouds within it.
The surface reflection gives an impression of being slightly out of focus coupled with the low aperture renders the pavement out of focus as the focus is set to infinity to capture the reflection.
A roundish puddle photographed form a high angle looking down on the reflection of a blue sky, cloud and sunshine mirrored in the puddle.
The result, it is hoped, gives a quality that is not appealing in proper photographic terms, raise ideas of slightly missed opportunity and an attempt of deconstruction of photographies inherent needs.
